Metal, ceramic and self-ligating braces from a trusted orthodontist. Treatment is planned on PaX-i3D Smart 3D diagnostics, backed by a written warranty and guided by your clinician at every stage through to debonding.
Book an orthodontist appointmentFixed orthodontic appliances remain the most proven and effective method of correcting malocclusion and tooth position. Unlike removable aligners, braces work around the clock: the patient does not need to remember to wear them, and the clinician maintains full control over the force and direction of movement of every individual tooth.
At iDent, orthodontic treatment begins with comprehensive 3D diagnostics using the PaX-i3D Smart CBCT scanner, which allows roots, bone and occlusion to be visualised in a three-dimensional model. Based on the CT data and a full photographic record, the clinician prepares a detailed treatment plan and reviews it with the patient before any treatment is started.
The orthodontist carries out a clinical examination, takes a CBCT scan on the PaX-i3D Smart, produces a photographic record and takes impressions. A detailed treatment plan is compiled, including a prognosis for timing and the expected outcome.
Professional hygiene — ultrasonic scaling and AirFlow — is mandatory before bracket bonding. A clean enamel surface ensures secure adhesion and reduces the risk of caries developing under the brackets.
Brackets are bonded to each tooth with a light-cured adhesive and connected by an archwire. The procedure takes 60–90 minutes and is completely painless. The clinician explains maintenance rules and any dietary restrictions.
Every 4–8 weeks the patient comes in for adjustment: the archwire is changed or tension is modified. Once the desired result is achieved, the braces are removed, the enamel is polished and a retainer is bonded to maintain tooth position.
We offer four classes of fixed appliances — from classic metal to self-ligating ceramic. The choice depends on the complexity of the malocclusion, aesthetic preferences and budget. Your orthodontist will recommend the best option at the consultation.
After debonding, a retainer — a thin wire bonded to the inside of the teeth — is always fitted. It maintains the achieved tooth position and guarantees long-term results. A removable retainer tray for night-time wear is fabricated if required.
Active treatment typically lasts 12 to 24 months depending on complexity. Your orthodontist will give a realistic timeline estimate based on your specific clinical case at the first consultation.
Average active treatment duration is 12 to 24 months. Complex cases involving severe crowding or open bite may take up to 36 months. The orthodontist will assess the timeline after 3D diagnostics on the PaX-i3D Smart and provide a realistic estimate before treatment begins.
In the first 2–4 days after bonding or archwire changes, the teeth may feel tender to pressure — a normal response to movement. There is no pain of the kind associated with dental procedures. Most patients adapt within a week and experience no further discomfort.
Without a retainer they can. That is why we always bond a fixed retainer on the inside of the teeth after debonding and fabricate a removable nightguard retainer where needed. If the retainer is worn as recommended, the result is maintained for life. The warranty extends through the retention phase.
