We correct bites and straighten teeth in adults and children. Braces or invisible aligners — our orthodontist will choose the best system for your individual case.
Book an orthodontist appointmentOrthodontics is the branch of dentistry focused on correcting malocclusion and misaligned teeth. A beautiful smile with straight teeth is not just cosmetic: a proper bite reduces stress on the jaw joints, simplifies oral hygiene, and lowers the risk of decay and enamel wear.
iDent has an experienced orthodontist with 10+ years of practice. We offer two main treatment pathways: traditional braces (metal and aesthetic) and clear removable aligners. The choice of system depends on the clinical picture, your lifestyle, and your personal preferences.
The doctor carries out a detailed examination, ordering a 3D CT scan on the PaX-i3D Smart where needed. You receive a clear treatment plan with the predicted outcome and timeline.
For braces: brackets are bonded to the enamel — no drilling, no discomfort. For aligners: a digital intraoral scan is taken and custom trays are ordered from a certified laboratory.
Braces: scheduled visits every 4–6 weeks for archwire adjustments. Aligners: trays are changed every 1–2 weeks at home, with progress reviews every 6–8 weeks.
After braces are removed or the aligner course is complete, a retainer is fitted. It holds the teeth in their new position and protects the result for years to come.
Traditional braces deliver more predictable results in complex cases — significant crowding, severe skeletal malocclusion. Because they are fixed, the patient cannot remove them, which guarantees compliance with the treatment protocol.
Clear aligners are ideal for adults who value aesthetics during treatment. The trays are removed for eating and brushing, do not irritate the soft tissues, and are virtually invisible to others. Both methods produce equally excellent results when matched to the right indications.
The optimal age for active treatment is 11–14, when the bite is still developing. However, orthodontics is equally effective for adults at any age. We recommend a first consultation for children at 7–8 years old to identify any problems early.
Average treatment duration is 1.5–2.5 years. The exact timeframe depends on the complexity of the case, patient compliance, and the regularity of appointments. Simple cases — mild crowding — can be resolved in 12–18 months.
Aligners are effective for the majority of malocclusion types and crowding cases. In very complex skeletal discrepancies, a combination of orthodontic and surgical treatment may be needed. The orthodontist will determine the optimal approach after a thorough diagnostic work-up.
Without a retention phase, teeth can partially return toward their original positions — this is a natural property of the surrounding tissues. That is why we always fit a retainer after active treatment. With consistent retainer wear, the result is permanent.
