AirFlow professional hygiene
Ultrasonic scaling + AirFlow + polishing and fluoridation — full complex in one visit.
The Vector device treats periodontal pockets with ultrasound and a hydroxyapatite suspension — no pain, no incisions, no hospital stay. Effective where conventional scaling cannot reach. Open daily 9:00–20:00.
Book a vector therapy sessionVector therapy (Vector Paro) is a method for treating chronic periodontitis using a specialised ultrasonic device. Its key distinction from conventional scaling lies in the direction of oscillation: the wave travels parallel to the root surface, allowing the instrument to reach periodontal pockets up to 11 mm deep without damaging the junctional epithelium. Simultaneously, the device delivers a suspension of hydroxyapatite polishing particles that mechanically disrupts the bacterial biofilm and removes deposits from the root surface.
The method has gained wide recognition as an alternative to surgical periodontal treatment — including flap surgery. It is used for pockets of 4–8 mm where conventional curettes are already of limited effectiveness but surgery is not yet mandatory. Vector therapy is also prescribed following initial scaling when inflammation has not been fully resolved by conventional means.
The clinician measures pocket depths and identifies sites with active inflammation. A PaX-i3D Smart scan is taken where needed to confirm bone status. Topical or infiltration anaesthesia is administered before the procedure for complete comfort.
A slim ultrasonic probe is introduced into the pocket and guided to the base. Parallel oscillations combined with the hydroxyapatite suspension disrupt the bacterial biofilm and deposits on the root surface while leaving the surrounding gum tissue undamaged.
After mechanical debridement the pockets are flushed with an antiseptic solution to eliminate residual bacteria and reduce the risk of reinfection. A locally applied antibiotic gel may be placed where clinically indicated.
Results are assessed at 6–8 weeks. Most patients notice a reduction in bleeding within one week of the procedure. Repeat vector therapy sessions are scheduled every 3–6 months to maintain the benefit.
A conventional ultrasonic scaler oscillates perpendicular to the tooth surface — effective for supragingival deposits but limited in deep pockets. The Vector device uses parallel oscillations: the instrument glides along the root, reaching the very base of the pocket without damaging the junctional epithelium. The hydroxyapatite suspension additionally reinforces the root surface.
The initial course typically consists of 1–2 sessions depending on the number of affected sites. Supportive vector therapy is then scheduled every 3–6 months. Your clinician will confirm the session count after completing the periodontal chart.
For pockets up to 6–8 mm with preserved bone, surgery can be avoided in most cases. For very deep pockets exceeding 8–9 mm or significant bone loss, vector therapy may serve as a preparatory or maintenance phase. The specific decision is made after clinical examination and a 3D CT scan.
